Overview

Saka Coffee Yogyakarta stands out as a harmonious blend of a coffee shop and a Japanese-inspired eatery nestled in the heart of Yogyakarta’s Tegalrejo district. Located conveniently on Jl. Bener No.4, this venue offers more than just your typical coffee experience; it crafts a unique space where sushi lovers and coffee aficionados can find common ground.

The menu is refreshingly diverse. Highlights include their Shizuka Fried Rolls and a variety of rice bowls like the Saikoro Beef Don and Kyoto Mozzarella Don, which bring authentic Japanese flavors with a local twist. Complementing these are comforting beverages such as the creamy Coffee Latte and the subtly sweet Vanilla Cream Tea, alongside Okinawa Milk Tea—each brewed to balance richness and subtlety. For dessert, the Lava Cake offers a delightful finish that both satisfies and entices.

What truly enhances the experience at Saka Coffee is its thoughtfully designed space. The café strikes a balance between spacious indoor seating and a serene garden-style outdoor area. The greenery and clean, simple aesthetics create an inviting atmosphere perfect for a range of occasions—whether you’re meeting friends, working quietly, or enjoying a casual family outing. The presence of a large praying room adds a considerate touch that caters to guests planning extended visits.

Customers frequently appreciate that the sushi selections provide good value without compromising on taste or portion size. Though some varieties share similar flavor profiles, the overall variety ensures there is something for every palate. The café’s thoughtful layout often requires reservations for indoor spots during peak hours, reflecting its popularity.

For those seeking a calm retreat within the city's bustle, Saka Coffee offers a peaceful haven from 9 AM onward. Its blend of comfortable, clean spaces; a versatile menu that spans traditional coffees, Japanese dishes, and creative teas; plus attentive service makes it a compelling destination in Yogyakarta’s thriving food scene.

The Saka coffee with milk is legit and it’s not overly sweet. The sushi’s also pretty cheap for the amount and variety you get. But when it comes to taste, the A and C variants kinda taste the same, so there’s not much that makes each one stand out. The place is roomy, with both indoor and outdoor seating. If you’re planning to sit inside, though, better reserve a spot cause it often gets full. Thanks!

Saka Coffee is a cool spot to unwind. They offer indoor and outdoor seating, making it a versatile place for either work or casual gatherings with friends. The menu is quite diverse, and their mocktails are surprisingly tasty. The sushi is decent, especially considering the price. What's noteworthy is that they also have a relatively spacious mushola, which adds to the comfort factor if you plan to spend an extended period here working or hanging out

A charming café in Yogyakarta, perfect for those who love greenery and a peaceful outdoor setting. The garden style seating area feels refreshing and cozy, with a clean aesthetic that’s ideal for chilling or working. Their menu offers a good variety of coffee and food, including Japanese-style rice bowls and sushi rolls, all beautifully presented and reasonably priced (Rp 25–50K). The vibes are calm, the service is friendly, and the place opens at 9 AM—making it a great choice for breakfast, brunch, or a relaxed coffee break in the middle of the city.

DEFINITELY A GO AND GO BACK. HAHAHHA The food is aesthathic, and they serve it exactly similar with the display in the menu book. The price is good as you get a fresh seafood on your plate. The drinks maybe need to be improved lit bit, especially with the size. Its too intimidating esp if you prepare to have a lot option of food. The place is nice and clean. The staff absolutely friendly. Good choice to spend your money here

Quite a hidden gem for a cafe that is actually a Japanese restaurant. Initially came for coffee. Ordered for double espresso and asked "what coffee?" Expected types of specialty coffee that is available if there is any to choose. But it seems like there is no available bean to choose. My bad, maybe i should've ordered manual brew or japanese if were really going for specialty coffee. Still good coffee anyway, and for a double espresso it's not as harsh as espresso that i got from other coffee places. I found out that it is the Japanese cuisine that is the star of the menu. you can go both authentic and americanized version. Overall good experience. Most def would come again if i got bonuses or something to celebrate.
